Park Damaged by Flash Flood

It rained and rained and rained. And it rained hard.

Tanner's Creek responded and the flooding carried plenty of upstream debris into and through the park.

We lost all of the playground mulch and suffered some erosion.

The worst of it is that a large tree trunk lodged against the teeter-totters, damaging them and causing the flood water to undermine their footings.

We would love to say we will have everything ship shape by opening in April, but we have very little budget beyond mowing.

It will now be up to County Council to determine if funds will be available to make repairs.

Wedding Ceremony - August 28

Kari Roberts and her fiance will enter into matrimony on the grounds of Guilford Covered Bridge. Please help them get their start as husband and wife, at a minimum, by scheduling your own activities to leave the park open for afternoon of August 28. I suspect that an occasional wedding gift wouldn't hurt either :-)

May you both be blessed with a long and fruitful union and a happy family.
